The energy efficiency of different refrigeration systems under design conditions is 54% different from the lowest and highest, mainly due to the unreasonable configuration of the chiller and refrigeration system. This unreasonable configuration and design exists in different degrees in projects across the country and should be paid enough attention to us. In actual engineering, the selection and configuration of chillers are often improper, and it is difficult to achieve the above objectives, which are manifested in the following two aspects.

First, the cooling capacity of the chiller is too large

The large capacity of the chiller assembly machine is a common problem in the refrigeration system. The installed capacity of some engineering chillers is even idle more than 50%. The main reason for the large capacity of the chiller assembly machine is that the designer does not make the hour-by-time cold load calculation when designing, but applies the building cold load index, which is inaccurate to the chiller load variation rate of different functional buildings, and does not Add analytically to increase the safety margin of the cold load.

Second, the number of chillers is not properly selected

The number of chillers should be selected according to the characteristics of cooling load and operation regulation performance, generally 2~4 units, and the unit cooling capacity should be reasonably matched. When the cooling capacity of the lower limit of single unit capacity is greater than the minimum load of the building, it should be selected. A chiller suitable for minimum load to ensure the reliability of system load regulation, increase the adaptability of the load, and avoid inefficient operation of the chiller.
